Chris Froome

Born in Nairobi, Kenya and educated in South Africa, Chris Froome has a passion for wildlife conservation going back to his childhood. Passionate about protecting rhinos in particular, Chris customised his bike with rhino decals to raise awareness of the plight of the worlds rhinos

Arguably the best stage race rider in the world, Chris is the first Briton to win the Tour de France three times. He shot to prominence by finishing runner up at the 2011 Vuelta a Espana and backed that up the following season when he and Sir Bradley Wiggins earned a remarkable one-two triumph for Team Sky at the Tour de France.

Further successes at the Tours of Oman and Romandie followed in 2014 before a fractured wrist forced him to abandon his Tour de France defence. Reinvigorated, Chris returned to take second place at the Vuelta a Espana and take his second Tour de France in 2015. In 2016, Chris then won his third Tour de France.
