Demand reduction

Changing global mindsets to reduce demand is critical if we are to find a permanent way to stop illegal wildlife trade. Increasing awareness of the issue and helping people to understand the impacts of illegal wildlife trade, providing access to solutions, and encouraging them to take action, requires finding new and interesting ways of engaging with them. Advances in technology have opened up multiple opportunities, allowing engagement with people around the world. United for Wildlife is using online games to raise awareness, online campaigns to identify actions that people can take, and an online learning platform with free courses to increase public knowledge.
