Protection

Protecting animals against poaching involves working with the people on the front line of conservation, the rangers and communities out in the field. On-site protection helps to stop poaching before it happens. As part of our efforts to improve on-site protection, United for Wildlife supports rangers by increasing access to training, to develop and strengthen their skills, supporting dogs working with rangers, creating projects with local communities, and much more. We assists in developing and testing technology to help with any conservation challenges on the ground, which can involve anything from camera traps, GPS and alarm systems to DNA testing.
