Digital campaigns

United for Wildlife is a collaboration working to address illegal wildlife trade. A key part of these efforts is to raise awareness of the threats illegal wildlife trade poses to species around the world.

United for Wildlife works with partners from across the world to share engaging content through digital campaigns and platforms in an effort to raise awareness and engage the global community in this issue. The hope is that by sharing content and messages we can help to create a generation that does not consume illegal wildlife products but instead works with us to protect species from poaching and illegal trade.

In 2017 United for Wildlife launched a digital campaign in the run up to World Elephant Day. By sharing news and information through digital channels we were able to reach people all over the world. We celebrated World Elephant Day with our second Angry Birds Friends Tournament, as well as a Facebook filter used 2,500 times 500% increase on activity on our web pages 4.5 million people reached through our Facebook posts 800,000 Twitter impressions and an increase in our engagement rate
