In partnership with gaming giants such as Angry Birds and Minecraft, United for Wildlife has been able to share the message of conservation and specifically illegal wildlife trade with new, global audiences.
Online Angry Birds Tournaments such as Roll with the Pangolins and World Elephant Day have helped raise awareness and engage a wider range of people with the species featured in these games.
The United for Wildlife ‘We Are The Rangers’ map means Minecraft gamers can explore a rangers world and learn about some of the challenges they face, while an education edition (for schools) allows audiences to play the role of a wildlife ranger protecting wildlife from poachers and learning about species like elephants, rhinos and pangolins.
Our “We are the Rangers” Minecraft Map continues to be a great success with over 100,000 downloads and over 2.5 million YouTube views of user-created playthroughs. But, don’t take our word for it, join our other minecraft rangers now!
